mahalo hawai’i 🌺
i haven’t traveled the world as much as i would have wanted to. i have always been in awe of mother earth but hadn’t experienced anything eye-opening until this trip to hawaiʻi. i connected immediately to these islands and the people. in my one week there, i felt a sense of renewal and bliss that i had never felt before. for that, mahalo hawai’i.
i have understood more than ever that it is our responsibility to care for this beautiful planet that provides for 75 tons of biomass. this photo series aims to show hawaiʻi at its rawest form — through its sunrises, sunsets, land, flora, and history.
part 1 | the sunrises and sunsets
the sun is setting in a burnt orange sky; the cliffs are black silhouettes; the sea, liquid silver.
part 2 | the land
…the most fertile lands were built by the fires of volcanoes.
The greatest achievement ever accomplished in this universe is life on earth. Let’s take care of it.
part 3 | the flora
plants are our food, oxygen, and medicine.
part 4 | the history
a people without the knowledge of their past history, origin and culture is like a tree without roots.
once again, mahalo hawai’i for a once in a lifetime experience. until next time.
